    mikehudack: evangotlib: peckinpah: oldfilmsflicker: Marya’s 100 Favorite Films - #15 - Children of Men (2006) This is one of the great underrated films of all time. It’s often cited as one of the best Sci-Fi films of the the last 20 years, but I think it’s one of the greats FILMS period. I think at the time it got ruined by bad marketing and being distributed by a studio that didn’t know what to do with this perfect film. Clive Owen gives such a gripping, tender and subtle performance. Alfonso Cuarón’s direction is phenomenal and Emmanuel Lubezki’s cinematography is just breathtaking. This film is just such perfection. Well said.  One of the great films of the past 25 years. Totally. Agreed.
